Where is Bouldr Bar?

Bouldr Bar is located in Cygnet Square, Thamesmead (SE2 9FE), overlooking beautiful Southmere Lake. We're just a 10-minute walk from Abbey Wood station on the Elizabeth line.

How do I get to Bouldr Bar?

The easiest way is via Abbey Wood station. From there it's a pleasant walk through Southmere to Cygnet Square. Several buses including the 177 and 472 also stop nearby.

Is there parking?

Yes. There is free and paid parking available nearby depending on the time of day, with several parking areas within a short walk of the bar.

Is Bouldr Bar wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The venue has step-free access and an accessible toilet.

Is Bouldr Bar family friendly?

Absolutely. Families are always welcome. We have high chairs available and children are welcome throughout the day while accompanied by an adult.

Is Bouldr Bar dog friendly?

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome. Water bowls are available and many visitors combine a walk around Southmere Lake with a visit to the bar.

Do I need to book?

Most of the time, no. You're welcome to walk in. For larger groups or during major sporting events we'd recommend booking in advance.

Can I bring a large group?

Yes. We regularly host birthday celebrations, work socials and community groups. Get in touch if you're planning a larger visit.

Can I hire the venue?

Yes. Bouldr Bar is available for private parties, birthdays, celebrations and corporate events.

We're the home of Rock Leopard Brewing Co, serving our own craft beers alongside a carefully selected range of guest beers.

Do you have lager?

Yes. Alongside our craft beer range we always have easy-drinking options available.

Do you serve wine?

Yes. We stock a carefully selected range of wines by the glass and bottle.

Do you make cocktails?

Yes. We serve a range of classic cocktails, seasonal specials and frozen slush cocktails.

Do you have alcohol-free drinks?

Definitely. We offer alcohol-free beer, kombucha, iced coffee, soft drinks and juices.

Do you serve coffee?

Not yet! Watch this space - very soon!

Do you serve food?

Yes. We currently serve freshly made pizzas together with our popular Jollof rice dishes. Our menu continues to evolve as the venue grows.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes. Vegetarian pizzas are available and we're continually expanding our menu.

Do you cater for vegans?

We have vegan drinks available and are introducing more vegan food options as our kitchen develops.

What makes Bouldr Bar different?

Bouldr Bar isn't just somewhere to grab a pint. It's a community bar built around great beer, good food and bringing people together. Whether you're popping in after a lakeside walk, meeting friends or discovering craft beer for the first time, everyone is welcome.

Do I have to like craft beer?

Not at all! We welcome everyone. Many of our guests come for the cocktails, wine, pizza or simply the relaxed atmosphere.

Is there outdoor seating?

Yes. We have outdoor seating overlooking Cygnet Square, making it a lovely place to enjoy a drink on sunny days.

Do you show live sport?

On occasion we show selected sporting events including major football tournaments, rugby, Wimbledon and other big occasions. Follow us on Instagram, Google or visit our News page for latest details.

Do you hold events?

Yes. Throughout the year we host book clubs, quizzes, seasonal celebrations and community events.

Who are Rock Leopard Brewing Co?

Rock Leopard Brewing Co is an independent craft brewery founded by local beer lovers. After years of brewing, Bouldr Bar became our permanent home where visitors can enjoy our beers fresh from the source.

Can I buy your beer to take home?

Coming soon! Selected beers will be available to take away so you can enjoy Rock Leopard Brewing at home.

Is Bouldr Bar near Southmere Lake?

Yes. We're less than two minutes from Southmere Lake and make a great stop before or after exploring the area.

Is Thamesmead worth visiting?

Definitely. Thamesmead offers beautiful lakes, parkland, architecture, public art and a growing independent food and drink scene. Bouldr Bar is proud to be part of the area's regeneration and community.

Yes. Gift vouchers are available and make a great present for beer lovers.

Can I bring my own food?

No. We kindly ask guests to enjoy the food available from the bar.

Yes, although for particularly busy evening events there may be age restrictions or capacity limits to ensure everyone's safety.

Can I work from Bouldr Bar?

Yes. During quieter periods you're welcome to enjoy a coffee or drink while working, and free Wi-Fi is available.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome at Bouldr Bar. We're just moments from Southmere Lake, making us the perfect stop before or after a walk. Water bowls are available.

We're approximately a 10-minute walk from Abbey Wood station on the Elizabeth line and Southeastern services. The route is flat, easy to follow and takes you through the heart of Thamesmead.
